Delicacies from the herb garden

Drinks and desserts with mint

Mint (Mentha) is a plant that is highly recommendable in the kitchen garden. It is very invasive, so it is a good idea to try an isolate it by planting it in af container.

Mint is a lovely, fresh herb with a nice scent. It is especially good in cocktails and in chocolate desserts.

Mojito

A handful of freshly chopped mint
1 tablespoon of cane sugar
½ organic lime fruit
4 cl. of white rum
Mineral water

Cut the lime 4-6 small squares and blend them with the mint and cane sugar in a tall glass. Try to squeeze some of the limejuice out with a wooden sppon. Poor in the rum, a couple of icecubes and fill up with mineral water.

Pineapple with mint

This is a lovely, simple fruit salat. You can use it alone or accompanying a chocolate cake of the brownie type.

Cut a pineapple into triangular pieces. Mix the pieces with a couple of spoonfuls of canesugar and a couple of handfulls of freshly chopped mint.
